AF100 & EF-S lenses

I've done a ton of google searches and dvxuser searches but am having trouble verifying if EF-S lenses will work with any of the EF adapters for the AF100? Do we know if the Birger mount will allow this?

Thanks for you help,

Dan

I saw the post from Barry Green earlier but I wanted to confirm now that people actually have the cameras in hand now that the EF-S lenses will work with the EF adapters.

Thanks for the quick reply,

Dan

What I meant was that the particular adapter being asked about, the Birger, has said that it will support EF-S and EF. I don't know that that applies to any other adapters.

I have been using the Fotodiox EOS to M4/3 adapter ($30 one) with Canon EF and EF-S lenses and they have all worked fine. I will mention that some lenses fit a bit better than others on this particular adapter. I have a Tokina 11-16mm and it fits very well whereas I tried a Canon EF-S 28-135mm and it is slightly loose (where the adapter and lens meet). I tried an EF 50mm 1.8 and it fit pretty well. Another lens I tried was a Tamron 17-50 and that was a nice fit. Of the bunch the Tokina looks the best. Very sharp and good color. The 50mm was good as well especially for a $100 lens. Also I thought that using this adapter (which cannot set the aperture) was going to be a pain but it's been okay. I have done shots in midday sun with the Tokina at f2.8, set the ND filter to 3 or 4, and set the cam on ISO 200 and been good to go. Not ideal but it's working okay for now. My wife and I have a ton of Canon glass and I just couldn't justify say buying a bunch of Nikon or Olympus glass. I am hopeful that Panasonic will release some new lenses soon or the Birger mount will happen. I'll try to get some sample footage posted soon if anyone is interested.
