AF100 depreciation is bad for Panasonic

They're not. The power zooms are the 45 - 175mm and the 14 - 42mm X class lenses. The power zooms are slower and don't have constant F. Good lenses nonetheless.

Are these the "powered zoom" MFT lenses? I remember reading about there being some powered zooms that were going to be released.

No, and personally I'm glad - that's one of the reasons the combination is so light... I shot for over 30 years without zoom motors anyway...

Back to the point of this thread - I think the Zacuto shoot-out was the beginning of the feeding frenzy-criticism of the AF100 - especially when it wasn't included in subsequent episodes (which I still don't understand - the GH-2 was, as well as the IPhone? what a joke) - people only want to hang out with the popular kids - just like in high school.

The 45 - 175mm power zoom (http://panasonic.net/avc/lumix/systemcamera/gms/lens/g_x_vario_45_175.html) is lighter than the 12 - 35mm (http://panasonic.net/avc/lumix/systemcamera/gms/lens/g_x_vario_12_35.html).

7.4 oz vs. 10.8 oz.

The 14-42mm power zoom is lighter again - 3.4 oz. (http://panasonic.net/avc/lumix/systemcamera/gms/lens/g_x_vario_14_42.html).

Among power zooms, there's also the Olympus MFT 12-50mm f3.5-6.3. Auto-focus but no OIS. I recently got one and it works beautifully with the AF100.
