AF100 and IstopMotion? (Aka computer "seeing" my camera)

Hi all,
My friend let me borrow his AF100 camera and I really want to test out how it works with a program like istopmotion on the mac. Essentially I need the computer to see that there's a camera hooked to it so that I can capture stills directly to my computer. As of now, I only see the USB in and when I use that it just shows up as a drive. Is there a way for the computer to "see" this AF100 as a camera to use?

You need a capture card that utilizes the HDMI or HD-SDI out on the camera.
