According with reliable sources I consulted this morning in both sides of the parade (even if about any improvement on the D4/800 that nobody knows), and because there is clean HDMI output BUT ONLY on Nikon side (so that was already practically guaranteed from scratch unless any last-minute-cripple
it is confirmed now:
D4 offers AF support during the recording; new 5DIII does not.
A shoot in their own feet by Canon to those who want or need some convertible tool for using autofocus feature as well, especially in one-man-show setup. After all, one of the main reasons why exist DSLRs, isn't it? For strictly manual, I'd use 5K EPIC or 4K Scarlet.
There is AF like it happens with the 5DII but not continuous AF. What remains funny is the way mobile phones and companies like Nikon offer it. And brands with video division don't. Or maybe it is not surprise at all after all ;-)
On the efficiency of the system, the jury is still out and remains to be checked out.
Other who may add something on topic from any experience with Nikons is welcome to post it here. Thanks.
