I see the AF102 scheduled for release in December at what looks like a significantly reduced price point to the 100/101. Anybody any idea if it has a reduced feature set/spec compared to the 100/101?

Surely the AF102 is the NZ/Australia version of the camera.

I believe the 102 is just the model# for another region AF100. Panasonic hasn't announced any plans to update/replace the AF100 yet.

Oh yeah...the one with the much larger 8/6ths sensor, right? Also has AVC-Intra shooting to SDXC? Think I remember that.

Wish they'd gone with the 8" 2 megapixel LCD screen, but the 5" screen should be good enough for now. At least until the AF103XRS comes out next September.

AF102 for sale in the UK new at under 3k sterling

Hi

Before I bought my Af101, I emailed Simply Electronics and got a reply stating that they were Australian imports and upon checking with Panasonic, found that I would have no warranty with them in the UK.

The Simply Electronics ad is for their customers in Australia. These cameras all should be priced around the same around the world, plus or minus a couple hundred here or there. They all have a 3 year warranty upon registration but that warranty is in the country it was originally shipped to, and in this case Australia.
