Hi,
i have a question 4 u gurus. I've plugged the radio mic to the camcorder;
Is it normal tha the audio takes just Ch 1 bars on the level meter and the ch2 there's no meter bars?
I've plugged a radio mic

thanks a lot

I remember on the sony z7 with one mic i had the bar meters on both the channels

Many thanks

Flip out the screen look at the audio channel select switches, both audio channels on the camera can be directed to audio input 2

When using one microphone on the AF100, plug it into input #2. Then you can use the switches under the LCD panel to direct input 2 to both recording channels simultaneously.

An additional tip to Gregs suggestion is to have one channel higher and one lower. The sound editior can choose the correct one.

Good tip. One thing to keep in mind if using Mic ALC while doing this is that if the limiter kicks on in one channel it will automatically limit the other channel - so if you have a lower setting on the other channel it will go even lower - possibly lower than you want.

Guys first of all, i wanna thank you because i couldn't find the solution on the little guide i have with me and i'm writing form my phone cause i'll be out on the next days.....
Thank you for the tip of the ch2 volume lower. What would you suggest me to set as Sensisibility of the mic TX (i guess-20db right)?
And what about the receiver? I set squelch on LO, and AF out -06, what do you gurus think about? Many thanks

Did u guys have any bad surprise recording audio interview with PAna? A guy told me to be aare of a function that if is switched on won't let me record the audio even if i check it on the meters.....What is this function?
Many thanks

Thats the VFR mode, letting you overcrank the footage, you have to select it and set it to on...when its on - no audio is recorded its a special mode, if you have the latest software running on your camera when VFR is on a little line is through the audio metering on the flip out screen showing you that no audio is being recorded.
With the earlier software this line was not programmed to appear and a few members were caught out still in VFR mode recording but with no sound.

Hi Vultch, Thx a lot for your help.....Cause this are my first hour with the Pana, for sure my questions will appear silly but i would like to ask you: when and where should i find-use the VFR mode?

Go into the menu and select the scene file you are using, hit enter and scroll down the settings its one of the options in each scene file

Go into the menu and the first item scene file, select it and VFR is one of the options...enjoy..

I throughly recommend Barry Greens book on the AF101...its a worthwhile investment

I hope to find it in Europe!I heard about this book ...Nowady i didn't eevn changed any settings of the cam except the frame rate, the WB and the interchangeble lens :)
