af-100 at gvexpo

AARGH I wanted to get down there this year, but I waited to long to decide if I was going to go. I would have loved to meet Jan and of course play with the AF.
 
You can still go. It's happening tomorrow as well. There was way too much of a crowd around the camera for me to get close and play with it. Maybe tomorrow at 9 am it will be less crowded...

Yeah I never got a chance to tell everyone the other fine points about the camera, one of them being how INSANELY lightweight it is.
 
Also, I went back today and Jan played a couple ACVHD clips straight out of the camera to the big monitor. One was the clip posted on here earlier of the German (I think?) dude and play troupe rehearsing. It looked much better on the broadcast monitor than what I saw here, and there were no noise issues. AND, the whole thing was filmed with the 14-140, which I thought was very impressive. Didn't look as nice as much better lenses, but still good for a $700 lens. I got to hold the camera, but it was attached to a CP.2 so it didn't really give me any idea how light the body alone would be. I was also very impressed with the LCD and EVF.
