The term crop factor applies to the still world where full frame 35 mm has been the norm. The closest comparison in the motion picture world would be supper 35 mm film frame although with all of the different wide screen crops in use there is not a "standard" as the is in the still world, here is a web site showing the various Sensor Size and frame crops. http://blog.tylerginter.com/?p=290
