Af-100/105 issue with Voigtlander and Nikon Lens

I just got my AF100 in the mail today and along with it a Voigtlander adapter for my Nikon DX 18-135MM lens. For whatever reason, I cannot get anything but a black screen when I have the lens and lens adapter hooked up. I have read through the forum many times and followed all of the previous advice given (i.e. "turn off LENS CHECK in the OTHER FUNCTIONS menu").

Is there anything else that I may be doing wrong?

LENS CHECK is OFF.
My lens is perfectly function with my D80.
The camera is BRAND NEW.

I'm pulling my hair out as my $4k seems to not be working. I'm hoping it's just something simple that I've missed, but I would really appreciate any advice at all.

Nikon lenses have closed apertures by default, so is yours closed or open? ND filter wheel set to 1?

voigtlander adapter? those dont work with DX/G lenses. only vintage or AF lenses with manual aperture works

you need something like nikon G to m43
theres a lot in ebay but if you want quality get a novoflex brand.

There is a pin on the front of the AF-100 that checks for the presence of a lens and also is a lens lock (small silver pin next to the unlock button). If the adapter is not fully rotated to the lock position or if the adapter does not have a slot for the pin to extend into when it is in the lock position, the screen will be blank.

[edit] You can check this by taking the lens off and pressing the pin. You will see that the screen goes blank when you press the pin in.

Thank you all for the prompt response.
The description of the Voigtlander says:
"The Voigtlander Micro Four Thirds to Nikon F Lens Adapter allows you to mount 99% of all Nikon SLR lenses by any manufacturer to a Micro Four Thirds mount camera body. Nikon G series lenses will not work since they don't have the necessary aperture ring to control the f/stop. Lenses which protrude so deeply into the Nikon camera body that mirror lock up is required will also not work. The Micro Four Thirds mount is a very adaptable system because it has an unusually small lens back focus. This in turn allows room for adapters for other lenses."

I guess I didn't think and realize that my DX lens was going to have the same problem. Should I just only buy lenses that are not the G or DX series, or is it worth it to return the voigtlander and just get a Novoflex?
