Alright, I'm between a rock and a hard spot. I really want an HVX but I definately can't afford it right now. Probably not in the next 3 years.
So, i'm trying to make the decission. Should I just go with the DVX100b.
I mean, I really think the HVX can handle what I want to use it for (Short films). Especially after watching that Illegal trailer in the HVX forums. I can definately live with getting that look as the finished product. I'm just scared that the DVX wont come through like I want it. I guess after getting a 35mm adapter and doing post/color correction I can get a good end result.
But my question is. I know what I need when buying the camera/adapter ect. But I would like to know what everyone uses as there editing station. What kind of machine do you use. What would be a machine that can handle the dvx and final cut and everything else. Im not looking to spend 2500-3000 dollars on a Mac. So like will mac mini's work or maybe a mac book or whatever? What would do the job for editing using FCP / AE etc. etc. etc. but is at a reasonable price.
Thanks, Please help me out and reply.
