Advice on what brand primes to get and where

I'm looking to assmeble a small set of manual primes for shooting films on my 5D Mark II with. I'd like something around these focal lengths: 35, 50, 75, 135ish. I'm having a difficult time finding these on eBay. Especially the 75 and 135. I can get a Tamaron 28-75 f2.8 (all the way through) zoom for like $400 or I can get 2-3 primes. Any idea what to do?

I've got the Tamron and if I was shooting just for video, I'd definitely replace that with a set of primes. 75mm isn't really long enough for me and to be honest 28mm isn't wide enough either. I'd probably get a wide prime (maybe a 24, or a 21), standard 50mm, 85mm if you can and then a 135mm. As for which ones I'll leave that for somebody else.

Have a look for nikon ai or ai-s and pentax super multicoated (SMC) takumar, there's loads of them on ebay. look in the ebay completed listings for an idea on current market value. The nikon 35mm f/2, 50mm f/1.4 nikon or pentax, nikon 85mm f/1.8, and nikon 135mm f/2.8 are all very good. There's pentax 85mm and 135mm lenses that are very good too. The pentax f/3.5 prime glass has a good rep and is fast enough for the MKII. You can learn more at mflenses.com There's info on the nikons here- http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/nikkor.htm#mf http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/nikon/nikkoresources/50mmnikkor/index.htm (there's links to each focal length lens at the bottom of this page) http://www.naturfotograf.com/lens_surv.html
Give me a yell if you have specific questions about a particular lens, I mostly shoot with nikkor ai primes.
