Advice on shooting in the woods

I'm shooting a slasher film set in the woods towards the end of July. A lot of scenes take place at night. Wondering if anyone has any advice on shooting in the woods, especially at night. It's going to be really hard to get lights deep in the woods.

You will need lights and a generator. And then you'll have to replace most of your dialogue as the generator will probably end up on your audio track.

Yes, it's hard, but you really need lights.

Gary is correct and you'd also be surprised at what you can borrow for free if you do your homework. Along the lines of "it never hurts to ask", besides appropriate generator(s), try and acquire some HMIs.

Find a place which looks like deep woods but isn't actually, and run power from nearby outlets.
