Advice on shooting - HPX171

Hi,

I am trying to shoot a fish net being winded. Here is a link with a test:

I am not satisfied with the results. The image is quite blurry and I need it as sharp as possible.

I've used Barry's DETAIL scene file. The shutter was 180.

Could someone please suggest some settings that would help me? Also which shutter would be better for this situation.

Many thanks in advance.

There is more temporal resolution. More frames means smoother motion. However you will sacrifice the "film look" but this is why many sports are shot at 60. Smoother picture.

180 is pretty standard. 180 is roughly 2x the frame rate.

this is the same as a setting pan speed . the camera sees the wheel just like a pan that is to fast 30 frames at least . over crack if possible .

It's fine "sacrificing" the film look as I really need a smooth and sharp image. So, i will do it at 720 50p. Should I go up also with the shutter? My problem is that I don't have any control of the situation. I am in Iceland at the moment and there is one company doing this work. So, they call me when they have a service and it is not often. So i believe that i will have one more trial.

over crack if possible .

how many frames would be ideal?

Thank you both!

one point: I am using Barry's DETAIL SCENE FILE. In this set the OPERATION TYPE is VIDEO CAM. In this mode I have:

Shutter Speed Range
1/50(OFF), 1/60, 1/120, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000 sec.

So, if I am shooting 720p50 how I will get the 180 shutter (if I don't change the OPERATION TYPE to FILM CAM) as there is no 1/100.

Thanks.
