Hello all, my name is Mike and I have been a member since 2004. I am not much of a poster, more of a lurker/daily reader. I work professionally as a video editor, so like everyone else here I love cameras. To make a long story short, I ended up buying an HPX170 and some accessories in mid May. After two months, and little use, I have decided to sell it. I wanted to share the description I have been working on since I was planning on putting it up on ebay Thursday, and was hoping for some description critiquing.
Here is my current draft for ebay:
Panasonic HPX170 Like New, 2 P2 cards, many accessories
Working full time as a video editor for the past 5 years has given me the privilege of cutting footage from many different sources. I am also certain my career has played a role in my unhealthy obsession with professional video cameras. So after many months of debate, and countless hours of research, I finally caved and pulled the trigger on the Panasonic HPX170, along with some recommended accessories.
In the 2 short months I have owned this camera I have shot just under 11 hours of footage with it (31 hours of power-on time), which mainly consisted of family and friends. For the majority of time this camera has remained in it's bag in the closet. Even though I just "had to have it," I now realize I have no motivation or time to use it. As much as I love the camera, I cannot justify keeping such an expensive piece of equipment for just the occasional personal use.
This auction is for:
1 Panasonic HPX170 (registered for 5 year warranty in June 2009)
1 16gb R Series P2 card
1 32gb E Series P2 card (arrived 7/1/09 and used just once)
1 Audio Technica AT897 shotgun mic
1 Windcutter windscreen for the AT897 mic
1 XLR cable (for shotgun mic)
1 B+W brand UV protector
1 Think Tank Photo Street Walker Hard Drive backpack (fits camera perfectly, removable velcro dividers allow endless customization)
1 Barry Green HPX170 book and CD
Everything here includes all original packaging and paperwork, and is in absolute PRISTINE condition. The UV protector was put on the lens the first time I opened the box, and the camera and all accessories are MINT. I have included photos of all of the receipts to illustrate what I paid and the dates of purchase. Since it was on back-order, I only just received the 32gb E Series P2 card, and it has only been used one time. Everything is like new. As you can see from the receipts, all items included have been purchased within the last 2 months.
Please note: The only product included that shows some minor wear and tear is the Barry Green book, which I carried with me to help familiarize myself with the camera. The accompanying CD however is in mint condition.
Please feel free to ask any questions.

END LISTING
So I know I am going to take a hit on selling it since Panasonic is now offering the $500 rebate. Do you think it is possible to get at least $5,000 for everything? Looking forward to everyone's feedback, Thanks!
