Advice on selling DVX100a and HVX200

I'm looking to upgrade from my HVX200 to the HPX170, but I was hoping to buy the new camera before selling the HVX so that I can do a few things with them together (compare settings, etc).

BUT...I'm worried I won't be able to sell the HVX easily, and I don't want to end up with an HVX AND an HPX! Is ebay the best way to sell it? If not, what would you recommend? My worry with ebay is that I've never sold anything on ebay before and maybe no-one will buy from me because I don't have a selling record.

I'm based in Australia, so it's a 25p/50i model. The HVX is in perfect condition, and the tape drive was only used briefly once - to test that it worked when I first bought it. Assuming I can sell it, how much do you reckon I could expect to get for it?

I also have an old DVX100a (again, PAL model) that I probably should have sold ages ago when I got the HVX but couldn't bear to part with...any ideas how much that would fetch?
 
Well I would try few places...of course here, that's how I sold my HVX 7 months ago. Also Craigslist and Ebay as your last resort. It's not more so because no one will buy from you but you will get a % charged so it's not always the best place.

I have sold and bought all my gear from camera's to lenses to mac books to mac pro desktop from craigslist or here. So try those and don't be despair if no one emails for a bit. There is always someone out there looking for your product and mostly (which you already know) don't sound desperate.

DVX100a should get you around 1500-2000 depending on condition and HVX depends if you P2 Card with it or not. I sold mine 7 months ago in Canada for 4900 with P2 Card but I think without you are looking at 3500-3900

Thanks for your advice, I hadn't even thought of Craigslist! I'll check it out. Good to know what to expect price-wise, too. Basically, selling the 2 of them should roughly fund the purchase of the HPX, which is what I was hoping for.
