Advice on buying DVX100B

I have a couple questions before I buy this camcorder,

1. What is the difference between the DVX100B and the DVX100BQ?

2. I'm looking at buying one on ebay from this listing:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Panasonic-AG-DV...ryZ20332QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
After looking at the listing does this look like a USA Market (not grey market cam?)

3. Should I care if it is a grey market or USA market cam?

4. What are the main differences between the two (usa/grey?)?

5. Should I just buy from a place like B&H Photo/Video?

6. If I want to spend <$3,000 and am looking at doing video shorts, online video, and maybe loaning the camera to local small filmmakers is this a good cam for me? or what are other cams I should be looking into?

7. Originally I was looking into the Canon GL2 because I was told by a Directing student at AFI in LA that the cam should be able to do 24p but he also said to look at the DVX100b because of the XLR inputs. What is your input in comparison between the two cams?

If you could help me by answering one to all of these questions that would help me emensely. I have done a lot of research and all the cams I've been looking at look to be damn nice, but I want to make sure I'm making the right decision and figured the DVX community would be one of the best to help steer me in the right direction.

Thanks. //g

1. No idea

2. Probably gray

3. YES

4. Between which two?

5. YES

6. Yes, this is the camera you should be looking at. Few others even come close.

7. I own both and the DVX is a FAR superior camera. The GL-2 CANNOT do 24p. The closest it gets is a fake 30p, but not even close to 24p. The DVX has a better audio system, better manual controls on everything, better color tone and much more. The only thing that the GL-2 beats the DVX in is the range of the zoom. The GL-2 has a 20x and the DVX has a 10x. I've found the DVX lens to be just fine in most of the shoots I've done.

If you need clarification on any of the above points please ask. :D
