Advice needed: How to shoot over actors shoudler sitting at an old CRT monitor!

I have a bunch of shots in my short film of an actor sitting at an old Commodore computer like this:

All of these old monitors had CRT monitors. How do I go about shooting over the shoulder shots as well as closeups of the text without having refresh rate issues? Is there a setting in the camera I can change? I'll be shooting this with an Panasonic AF100.

I also will be shooting some super close ups of the glowing green text.

Any thoughts?

The Af100 should have a synchro scan setting, check your manual. And also keep in mind that refresh rate issues often make a shot like this look "real" - especially since it's old-school gear. You may find you like it, and that it makes it clearly "not keyed".

Adjusting the CRT monitor's refresh rate may also help, but unfortunately a genuine old CRT monitor may not have such fancy features :)

Definitely worth some tests - as Michael says, a refresh "wave" may give a nice authentic look, so long as it isn't too intrusive.
