SmallHD DP4 or Zacuto EVF?
I'm leaning more towards the SmallHD as it can also double up as a field monitor, but I'm not sure how effective is a 4" monitor for field work.
If only the Zacuto is the same screen size as the SmallHD, my decision will be much easier.
I was debating the DP4 or DP6 from smallHD. Then a friend at work got the DP6 to go with his Scarlet (yep, he took the plunge...) and he let me play around with the DP6 last week. I have to say I don't know that I'd want to go any smaller than that for a field monitor. As an EVF sure... but used alone the DP4 screen is same size as my smartphone (recent model HTC). While the DP6 is about the size of a nice, smaller media tablet. Now there are others who use the DP4 stand alone and like it. But I simply realized my eyes aren't what they used to be. That might not be a concern for you. The problem is that with smallHD being an internet company it's unlikely most will get the chance to compare the monitors side by side.
