Advice Needed. First Corporate gig -- too wired or not to wired

Hey guys,
booked my first corporate gig which I'm happy about. I know this question may seem redundant but for some interviews in which I'll be slowly dolly-ing across as the talent speaks, I'm going to record them with lav mics. Now usually I have a sound guy but he's sick and unable to help on this shoot. Because I'm having to do literally everything on this shoot (not a control freak just actually don't have the chance to hire anyone) I'm wondering if wired or wireless is the way to go for this audio. I'm assuming use wired whenever possible and especially because I'm by myself?

Also I'll be recording directly into my zoom h4n. Is this the norm?

cheers guys :)

There's an old adage: "Whenever able, use a cable."

That said, it really depends on how much freedom of movement you need. Either will work, but whatever you do just make sure that you're monitoring audio as you record. Never leave it to chance!

this is what I figured. The talent will be sitting the whole time and shot from shoulders up so I should be sweet :)

It means that it is customary for a crew member who is unable to perform their duties to try to find a replacement or to recommend a backup. It seems rather flaky for your sound guy to just leave you hanging.
