Advice for shooting video of my hands?

First, I am new to video production and the HVX.

I want to shoot video of my hands in front of a green screen that will later be manipulated in Cinema 4D or After Effects to composite effects on top of. The video will be used for an intro for a web show. Specifically, I want to make it so it appears that I am drawing different shapes, and I want to shoot some video of my hands that will also be brought into one of these programs to make it appear that I am manipulating those shapes using iPhone/iPad type gestures.

I have never done anything like this before so I am hoping to get some advice. I'm going to use a green screen, KNO FLOs, and an HVX200.

1. What might be some good settings to use on the camera to do this? I'm thinking of using 720P 24F. What other specific settings should I consider using on the camera?

Thanks!

Light the screen evenly as one layer and stand in front of the screen so you are not illuminated by those lights in any way. Then set up your second set of lights so that they illuminate you as a second layer but don't interfere with the first layer of lights. Use black duvtyne or other black cloth to reduce spill in areas which will be garbage matted anyway. Use your camera's maximum resolution. Greenscreen is one area where resolution actually does play an important role.

Just for clarification:

1.) When you say to "Light the screen evenly as one layer" do you mean to light one half of the screen and then to light the other half in two steps?

2.) Where would the "black duvtyne or other black cloth to reduce spill" be placed? I'm not sure what you mean by this? I plan to take the footage into Final Cut and use a Garbage Matte to basically crop it then I would just key out the green.

Thanks!
