advice for recording live music in documentary

I am recording a live music performance (acoustic guitar and singer) for a documentary. All I have right now is an Audio Technica shotgun and an AKG handheld, so any advice would be great. What i've thought of so far is using a small diaphram condenser to a field mixer to the camera (XH A1). Any thoughts or suggestions? the Sound Devices MixPre and Oktava seem like good options, but I don't know.

thanks!

If it's only guitar and single vocalist I wouldn't try to mix on site. A couple of small diaphragm condensers - one for the vocals, the other for the guitar - connected individually to channels 1 & 2 on your camera and something like an H4 stereo recorder placed back a bit to record ambience and mix the four tracks in post should do nicely.
