Advice for my effects gathering/field recording package...

Yeah, I plan to buy the stock Tascam from Doug Oade and have him mod it later when I have the cash. His thorough e-mail correspondence is the best customer service in the world, so I think he deserves my business. Plus his price for the stock unit is fantastic.

The Petrol bags look really nice but they're all so big. Seems like the PortaBrace bag for the Tascam would be a really good fit for just the recorder, one mic, a short cable and a handgrip.
 
Bug him more about the H4. They'll get on it. I'm planning on sending him the O'Rielly comments. Let ya know when I dig out that grip.
