Advice for fixing skin imperfection?

Hey guys, I am working on a video in FCP 7 that was shot on RED...

Due to the fantastic quality of the footage, you can see EVERYTHING... and I have some skin imperfections on one of the actors faces that I really need to get rid of. It's nothing major, but I was wondering what advice you all might have as to what filters/effects to use. I want to even out the complexion so the face appears to be more of a solid smoothness and the make up appears more matte (it's shiny in some spots, not shiny in others). I do NOT want to do a bunch of keyframing, so I'm hoping there's an easier way to do this without applying a filter to the entire area of the clips. I dunno. Does that make sense?

Ha ha. anyways. Any tips?

checked it out, downloaded the free demos. works perfectly for what I wanted! shame it costs $200 for the pair tho. really can't afford it right now. sigh. but I will certainly put it on my wish list for the future.

anyone know of any similar plugins that are free?

Oooo... right now there is a sale. 33% off. Might make it worth it now.

Use the code OHYEAH33 when you check out.

thanks Shane! I think I will have to bite the bullet on this one. Could see this plugin coming in handy for many projects in the future as well!

update, purchased Electronic Make Up Artist and Digital Cover Up using the promo code for about $133 rather than $199.. thanks again so much for the code Shane.

These plugins are fantastic especially in this day and age of high definition where you see everything, every little detail on the face. You can smooth it out just a little or a lot and it looks fantastic. My clients are loving it and I'm sure I'll use it on every video from now on!

THANK YOU!!!!

Beauty Box is After Effects only, and more expensive. Even on sale, EMA is cheaper.

Beauty Box works in AE, PPro and FCP all under a single license and is currently $139 until Jan 7.

I tested out both EMA and Beauty Box (in FCP and AECS4) and found Beauty Box a bit easier to use and more intuitive. I was able to get the results I wanted pretty quickly with Beauty Box, but had a much harder time configuring EMA to match.
