I have my first real gig tomorrow and Im excited but nervous as hell. I have to shoot at a school with children doing charity work. This is the first session of a few and then i will edit it together into a piece but I dont know exactly what they want from the piece yet. I will be using a dvx100a. Any advice you guys have would be helpful, settings, ect. I know the camera very well Im just a little nervous and I want to do the best job I can. Thanks alot.

If you know the camera, then don't be nervous.

I would say shoot 30p.
Keep your shutter between 1/60 and 1/120.

Get a lot of wide shots, and a lot of close ups of the childrens faces, and them doing the work. Maybe get a second camera? More angles to work with in the edit.
