Advice before purchasing

Hi everybody,
I bought a T2i recently and getting interested in its video capabilities. I'd like to build a rig (want it as cheap as possible) but don't know a lot about all this stuff, so I hope you'll help me clearing things out.

Here is what I have :
Tripod : Velbon CX 560
Camera : Canon T2i / 550D
Lenses : Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS and Canon EF 50mm f/1.8

Here is what I'd like to buy from www.indifocus.com :
Slider : IndiSLIDERmini Deluxe (http://www.indifocus.com/products_indislidermini.htm)
Rails : IndiRAILSpro DSLR 12" (http://www.indifocus.com/products_indirailsprodslr.htm)
Follow Focus : IndiFOCUS20 (http://www.indifocus.com/products_indifocus20.htm)

Would like to :
Mount the IndiSLIDERmini Deluxe on the Tripod
Mount the IndiRAILSpro DSLR 12" on the head of the IndiSLIDERmini Deluxe
Mount the the T2i and the IndiFOCUS20 on the rails of the IndiRAILSpro DSLR 12"

Ok, so here are some questions :

1. Is the IndiFOCUS20 compatible with the T2i/550D (& lenses) ? (It is with the 5D Mark II)
I think yes, but I'm not 100% sure.

2. I bought my tripod some time ago for stills. It looks quite different from video tripods, especially the mounting screw on the head.
Do you think it is compatible with the IndiSLIDERmini Deluxe ?

Thanks a lot =)

1) Yes, but compatibility is more of a lens specific issue and really doesn't have anything to do with the camera. It should be adjustable so most lenses should work minus a few oddballs.

2)Your tripod will work but you'll probably want a sturdier one moving forward.

Thank you.
You're right, this tripod is cheap and not really suited for video.
What kind of tripod do you think will be good for this kind of rig ?

That tripod is junk. If you want to go on-the-cheap the best tripod you can get is the Velbon DV-7000.http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/366741-REG/Velbon_DV_7000_DV_7000_Tripod_with_2_Way.html

You can get a cheap shoulder rig for about $40.00 (EBAY) Here is a vid...

And the D-Focus Will work but can only be mounted on the left side of the camera if you are using a 50mm 1.8. Most mount on the left anyway. Check it out here.

Here's some picts of my cheap run/gun setup. I don't have the D-focus on the cam as it is easy enough to focus with the lens gear.

Also you don't need rails to mount the D-focus. You can just buy his dslr plate for $50.00.

I guess I have to wait until 5 posts to post pictures. I'll post them when I reach 5.

Thanks for the tripod link :p
I thought about purchasing the D|Focus.
I'll maybe want a mattebox in the future, so the rails are a plus. The slider from indisystem is also really interesting for me (and it is cheap). The price of the D|Focus and the IndiFOCUS20 are not so different so... I prefer purchasing everything from the same store as I'm not living in the US (not even america).

This is something I came across while reading reviews of the Velbon DV-7000 : "you can take the head apart if you need to attach a pocket dolly on the legs".
That would mean I won't need the Deluxe version of the IndiSLIDERmini if I go for a DV-7000, and that's great. I'll probably use steady bags if I need to shot on an uneven ground.

Ya...I was amazed with the quality of it when I unboxed mine. For that price nothing beats it. The head does detach.

Too bad the best price I can find here (in France) is 100 euros (140 USD) for that tripod  It's $89.95 + shipping on B&H :Drogar-Angry(DBG): Anyway...
