GH4 Adventure Sports shot on GH4

I have a little film series highlighting canyoneering, whitewater kayaking, bouldering, and mountain biking shot mostly with the GH4, GH3, and some go pro.

https://vimeo.com/113803430

Things to note:

-go pro was only used in kayaking
-GH4 was strapped to my chest for the mountain biking
-I'm a crew of 1, so the canyoneering footage was self filmed as well as the mountain bike zipline footage.
-most of the footage (excluding slo-mo) was 4k downsized to 1080p

Just thought I'd share :)

I edited using Adobe Premiere CC, and used warp stabilizer on a few of the shots. I was impressed how well the first person mountain bike footage turned out. I've tried using go pro in the past, but the amount of jello I was getting made the footage garbage imo. It is scary however strapping 3000$ of camera gear on your chest knowing one wreck would cause it to detonate.

I would like to see more story or narrative. It would be interesting to have interview VO to give some meaning to what is happening. Stuff captured on the trail, etc.

The constant fading to black didn't leave me enough time to appreciate some of the shots. And the shots were quite good. I enjoyed your static compositions way more than the interminable bike handles. I would cut the POV stuff way down. The canyoneering segment was pretty cool but I agree some VO discussing the difficulties and technicalities involved would be great. The first shot I quite liked, even with the bump at the end, which gave it a certain immediacy.

The next episode is only canyoneering in Ouray, CO. This will eliminate the need for any POV shots, which I'm excited about (It takes me about 6 hours for every 30 secs of zipline footage). I appreciate your feed back on the VO and fades! My goal is make every episode better than the previous (technically and content-wise) so this gives me something to mull over.
