Adobe, we need to talk.

This was great. Favorite line was.

I called that one off because Apple's a crazy, controlling ***** who hates it when anybody else is around me -- even programs I've known and trusted for years.
Here is a question for everyone. Will Adobe become the Microsoft of media creation software. Will there immense size and success eventually become one of their greatest challenges.

Thanks for the clever article.

Sounds like this dirty relationship I'm currently having with Compressor 3.0. But I can't get out, cuz like you said, Apple is a controlling *****.

Pure gold! It sounds like Apple really needs to get...busy. Good thing I never let her into my house when she came crawling up to the doorstep, I just closed the door trying to keep Windows hidden under the desk.

Haha, was definitely worth a good read and made me laugh. Almost makes me consider going back to her (Adobe). She sounds like a wonderful gal. Apple is a controlling ***** and won't let me see other software either, so maybe I'll sneak out one night...

All because Compressor 3.0 is ANNOYING, barely works and still expects me to use all my RAM to support her.

While we're at it:

What the hell? Apparently she doesn't even want to work with herself.

hahahaha, oh man. That's pretty ridiculous. Adobe should learn to play with herself better otherwise we're going to have some very frustrated hardware.

Yes, on the outside it is pretty funny but when you're the one with the dysfunctional relationship, things aren't as amusing. GAH! I just want to install the AE trial so I can learn what's its about and decide if I should buy it or not. Why won't you play nice?!

I spent about 25 hours over the past few days editing a short on PP CS3. Last night I attempted to export to a DVD. I then realized that I hadn't installed my Encore CS3, hence my exporting problems.

Long story short, the Encore failed to install for some reason and the procedure corrupted my PP CS3 - it would crash while trying to launch.

After doing a system restore I was able to launch PP again... but I still needed to get that DVD. I ended up choosing "trial" on Encore when installing, this left out some codecs - and fortunately it installed without incident. When I launched Encore it asked for my serial and I entered it. Well, wouldn't you know it... it said "oh, well, you'll need these codecs" and began trying to install them. Crash. For some reason, when I tried again... it installed the codecs and all was well.

Funny (well, not really) that this shoud happen when I had read this post only a few hours earlier before my crisis.
