hello anyone who may read this...

i'm trying to export a video from a custom 2496x1080 sequence.

its LA7200 anamorphic footage shot at 1080 yet instead of scaling down height to 810 to keep the 1920 width like i normally do, i want to scale the width up to 2496 to keep the 1080 height.

anyone have a workflow/guidance for exporting this sorta sized frame?

To be precise, the widescreen 1920x810 frame size would scale up to a 2560x1080 frame. But historically, cinemascope aspect ratio varied over a fairly wide range. The most convenient way I found to scale up an export in Premiere is to use the Stretch feature in the export settings dialog. There's also a Crop option that's useful for chopping off the blurry side wings of some anamorphic lenses.

thanks lpowell

had a good play within the export box and found a way through using the stretch feature, managed to export a nice 2560x1080 clip without black bars, now i'm exactly where i was hoping to be! thanks again... onwards and upwards
