Adobe has aquired Serious Magic.

Cineform and Adobe relationship somehow hindered the mxf support in Premiere Pro. Cineform was suppose to be the preferred way of converting mxf to avi2 so it can be used in Premiere Pro. Before DVRack HD. Well there is Raylight but , no thanks.

I have always used Premiere Pro with DV footage, but since I got me an HVX200 the mxf transcode process is a speed bump in my workflow. I have thought about Avid and Edius , but it wouldn't benefit me because I will have to spend money for a program that is not compatible with the other Adobe products. ( I got the Production Bundle).

Here is what I got: HVX200, Firestor FS-100, 2 4Gig P2 cards, DVRack HD 2.0, and Adobe Production Bundle. My software is the bottleneck which I find very difficult to replace.

Well I got Serious Magic DVRack HD for the DVCProHD decoder reason and because of the capture solutions, which would make it immediately usable in Premiere Pro.

Few things that I am looking forward with Adobe's aquisition of Serious Magic, is that mxf files will be fully supported in Premiere Pro and After Effects, it will be a free upgrade, and it will be as soon as yesterday.
