For what its worth I did some testing last night and an adjustment of +400 Red and -400 Blue in the Slog color adjust menu is about the same as adding the 5600 button to go to daylight. Thus it equals a full CTO 85 color correction. + and - 100 is about 1/4 CTO and vice versa for Blue. Likewise +200 on both is somewhat close to a full minus green correction (magenta) on a Lee gel. So with those adjustments you can pretty much do anything you can do with the color adjustments inside a normal gamma.
I didn't do any grading tests so i don't know whether its a good or bad idea to bother doing this in camera, but i figure if they bother to give you tungstun and daylight settings , it can't hurt to be in between. And it can't hurt to give the grader a closer idea of what you were going for.
That's assuming that the 5600 button is an electronic adjustment not a filter but I'[ve never heard the latter floated.) It would be nice to know whether the native sensor is closer to Tungstun or Dayiight though. If its daylight which I suspect than the 5600 button is closer to optimum and the tungstun is adjusting for more red. Don't know if this makes any difference in practise, but it does (or at least used to) on a Red.
