Seeing how all of your posts are of you asking how to do this, how to do that, it seems to me that you are a bedroom director. If you don't understand what that means, it means you sit in your bedroom all day and wish you could be working on a project that is being broadcasted on TV.

Of course, in that case, you would do everything in your sleep. Only in your sleep...

Stop trying to act like a know-it-all critic and just go back to working on your sunset poetry videos.
 
lol woah buddy, first off, before oyu come off like too strongly of a jerk, let me tell you that what i posted was not in any way an attack on your work or what you created, i was just being silly, because in no way could i ever pull off those kinds of moves no matter how hard i tried.

Learn that some around here are sarcastic in their approaches. Tone down your defensiveness.

and just in my defense lol, that little sunset thing was not planned, just run and gun footage that turned into something a ( bit ) more haha.
 
Yea I do it in my sleep, at lunch, well where ever you know! ;) haha lol Papa didn't mean anything by that, he's a jokester!


The only thing I think that could of been added in was a CU of the dancer, but sometimes corporate companies don't want that, but Kenji looks awesome man, and as always nice job!!


ps - tell zak I want to see that roof shot already!
 
Hi chris thanks ...now i know that papa is a jokester he is cool in my book ...and i dont know if zak told you but we decided that we are going to shoot that roof top video here in japan instead korea with japnese bboys and not korean bboys we found out alot of bulls**t from korea at the last minute. we hope to use ur adapter soon on one of our videos
 
Nice stuff Kenji! Just screw....to...Adidas commercial. How is this done? The Adidas spot looks very pro. Is this just something you did for your reel or is it actually showing on tv their?

The only thing that distracted me a bit was the two metalic things to the right. They threw off the symmetry and w/o it might have looked more clean.

I like your style on the edit and the minimal camera angles was fine too being cut the way it was. Nice work.

hi kevin im glad u like it .the ad will be aired here and also will be played at all adidas stores here in japan. the 2 metalic things ur talking about are actually [FONT=arial,sans-serif][SIZE=-1]Fire Hydrants hehehe see this adidas ad was not shot in a studio but was shot right in front of the adidas head store here in osaka right there close to the street. at first it botherd us to see it there but then we were like hey this is a breakdancing ad so then it started to look cool like they belonged togather ...but for other ppl it might not look so good hehehe...and the just screw music video was our fist time ever touching a camera i like to think we got better with each project.[/SIZE][/FONT]
 
Wow..I would never have guessed it wasn't a studio shoot! Looks great, and even moreso that you just shot it on the streets like that. Just a curious question...lighting?

EDIT: And damn..you really called me on that bedroom director thing :(
 
hehehe sorry about the bedroom director thing ...the lighting we used was the same lighting that we had from the JUST SCREW music video we used those round floresent lights that you buy for your house and we took the backs off of them and tied them to 2 tripods there were 2 lights on one and 3 lights on the other then we ran a power cord to an inverter hooked up to a car this is poor mans lighting heheh but it worked
