Adhesive residue from the warranty sticker?!

I just got my new HPX-170! Yes!
Did anyone else have issue getting the "register for your warranty" sticker off of the edge of the LCD screen? When I removed it, it left a stripe of sticky ick adhesive residue on my otherwise pristine new camera! Arrgh.
I tried a lens cleaning wipe and it wouldn't remove it, anyone else have this issue? How did you get the stjunk off of there? without dinging up the plastic?
It would have been nice if that was a static sticker or something without an adhesive.
First thing I shot? over and under cranking shots of my dog and kid of course.

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to try again tonight with a damp Q-tip, or maybe a little bit of dish soap. The stuff is tacky, and will only start collecting dust if I dont get it off of there. Not to mention bugging me everytime I look at the LCD screen. I don't want to mess up the finish either so...

I have never used it directly on a LCD screen, but WD-40 on a q-tip is nigh unstoppable for getting sticker junk off electronics (or anything else) in my experience.

Do at your own risk, and a little goes a long way.

It's not on the screen itself, but on the plastic frame surrounding the screen. That's where they put the "5-Year Warranty - Register now!" sticker.

The solution was packing tape! I took some sections of clear packing tape and carefully stuck it to the residue and then quickly lifted it off. Repeating this process over and over with fresh sections of the packing tape eventually lifted off the residue without scratching or subjecting the camera to any chemicals. I recommend this solution to anyone who might have the same issue.
