adding multiple clips to the timeline

I have been filming some football, with each play being a separate clip. I don't import as one clip for highlight purposes later. But for any given game I have over 100 clips. I would like to drag and drop them onto the timeline to create one continuous clip to provide dvds of each game, but vegas' explorer has a slight mix on the order. If I drag all clips two things happen. They stay in the order listed on the explorer window, and most clips are blacked out in the preview, and export as well. If I drag them one at a time it works fine, but that takes too long. Is there an easy way that I am missing? Or a setting I don't know about?

select all of the clips in Vegas' explorer. Right-click and Add to Project Media. Then drag them from Project Media.

If they're in order in your Windows folder, you should be able to drag directly from there. Of course, it helps if the name order is the order you want.
