Adding metadata to .mts files

Hello,

When ingesting photos from a card I re-name them, and as well add my copyright info and other metadata to the file (keywords, etc.)

What programs do folks use to do this task with movies, specifically .mts files? I should add I'm on a Mac.

As well I would like to be able to add keywords, to search for the clips later on.
 
On Windows you can have extended attributes, which are not metadata per se, they are provided as part of NTFS envelope. If you move files to FAT you lose extended attributes.
