F3: Adaptimax EF mount

Has anyone tried this on an F3? I don't understand the "1.5 magnification factor" thing.? How is a simple mount going to change the focal length? It doesnt look overly deep or anything.

I want to be able to mount manual EF lenses, like Samyangs or something similar and maybe some Zeiss CP's later on with the EF mount.
 
Pretty sure that statement "Using this adapter will introduce a magnification factor of 1.5x with full frame lenses" means if you are used to a particular field of view in a full frame camera, like a Canon 5D mkII, with these lenses on an F3, they will have a 1.5 times larger field of view to what you are accustomed to on your full frame sensored camera.
 
Ok, well that is unnecessarily confusing. I would think that they would know anyone who's looking this stuff would have an idea about what's going on.
