Dark Side of the Camera
Is it just me, or does "Snorkel down" on the flip units look somehow "impotent" ?

Don´t get me wrong, it`s not a "macho" attitude, but thinking how our equipment is perceived by customers, actors and others.

I think it looks much more powerfull with "snorkel up" and a big bad mattebox with giant flaps.

Is it just a tipical male thing to prefer "big errect extensions"?
I mean is evolution affecting us that much or am I just nuts?

Frank

Frank,

Thanks for cheering me up on a rather blustery day! Hahahahahahaha!!!

....I'm still shakin my head and grinnin ear to ear here..

hehehe...

Hmmm. Actually I find the snorkle up position to look awkward and alien like it's desperately trying to compensate for some other inadiquicy.

Snorkle down: bold and powerfull, "heavy package".

If the client is female, probably they will be feeling interested.

But if the client is male, probably they will be feeling intimidated and threatened by your superior Snorkel-ness.

Snorkel vs. Snorkel, that's the male way.

Intimidated?
