Acutal Firmware Version

Hello,

I bought a used FS100. How can I look up
the actual firmware version on that cam to be sure
I got the newest version?

Yes, there's probably an easier way to do it, but you can tell from two items on the DISPLAY SET page in the menu.
First push the MENU button on the top control panel, and then cycle down to DISPLAY SET, and push the right side or East side of the Navigation Compass, (the four paddle control with the EXEC button in the middle). Once you are on the Display Set Page, then cycle down using the Lower or South button on the compass and find the SHUTTER DISPLAY Setting... If you can toggle the orange text on the right side, between reading DEGREE or SECOND, then you have the new 2.0 firmware.

Another way is on the same Display Set Page to see if it will give you a choice of different EXPANDED FOCUS MAGnifications... Only the New Firmware will allow you to toggle between 4X and 8X magnification.
When you find a setting that you like, then simply press that centered EXEC button in the Navigation Compass. When you are done, simply press MENU to escape from the Menu navigation Menus and resume normal operation.

Anyone know a simpler way? (I tried cycling through the STATUS CHECK button settings on the side of the camera, but did not find any firmware version info).
