Actual Viewfinder FLip? NOT LCD

Anyone got any ideas on how to flip the "viewfinder" the one you put your eye to? not the LCD flip out?

OR

Is there a composite viewfinder out there?

I am getting the M2 soon (like a month AHH!!!) and I need to be able to look through my viewfinder, I love monitors, but I just dont feel the flexibility and control of what I shoot without looking through the finder..

I know, I know, GET OVER IT.. But when shooting on the beach or with BRIGHT sunlight, trying to do shots with the blazing sun, having a monitor as your only rightside up reference is just no good..

The only way to accomplish what you're asking for is to either a) shoot with the camera upside-down, or b) use a Letus Flip or Mini35 or other adapter that does the flip itself.

I'd still rather use the viewfinder.. So I'm guessing I will be the only one to eventually dive into some HVX tampering.. Muuuh Hahahahahahahahahah

Someone over at DVInfo.net suggested using modified viewfinder for that purpose.

I've done the same thing. It's pretty easy to find a cheap second-hand DXF-501.
What I did was modifying 501 so that it takes HVX composite signal and 12v power from V-mount type battery. I use ZACUTO rod support system and a V-mount type battery powers everything inc. Marshall 7" LCD. It's a lot better to use viewfinder rather than cumbersome LCD when handheld, or under very bright sunlight.

cheers

Thank you Saru..

Could you imagine working on a show, and working off of a monitor only?? sheesh.. People wouldn't even take your seriousley..
