Is there a way to see action and or title safety lines in the viewfinder/LCD on the 100a? I have been bitten a couple times on non-crucial shots where something shows up just off frame on a monitor that doesn't show on the LCD. I come from the Beta world...forgive me
what most people who want that do is to goto a computer/electronics store and look in the palm pilot/pda section, they have an accessory that is a clear sheet that is meant to protect the pda's screen.
buy a packet of those, their really cheap.
then cut it down to the exact size of the dvx lcd and you can draw your own lines.
there is a message thread somewhere on here with templates.
i have to redo mine but for my first one i put a center mark and lines to divide the screen into thirds.
i really wish the dvx-100 had an underscan button... maybe the dvx-100b will have underscan and other lcd options
You won't be able to see the full underscanned picture in the viewfinder or the LCD. You'll need an external monitor with the underscan function or a laptop and a copy of DV Rack.
