Action Sports Cinematography - my work.. your thoughts?!

I just completed a month and a half long journey shooting an action packed 1-minute segment for the X-Games contest called 'Real Snow'. My primary camera was the HVX200 (Century Xtreme Fisheye), t2i (Tokina 11-16, Canon 24-70) and GoPro. I learned much along the way trying to run a solo 3 camera shoot! Please let me know your thoughts on the cinematography as that was my job!

Thank you!

I really digged the motion graphics intro and the slider shots, especially the push in on the guy jumping off of the second story of the building and hitting the brick wall. My only recommendations would be to get a bit closer and slow it down a bit. For example, even shooting by yourself, you could easily rig up the gopro underneath something or at a unique angle and shoot a second angle with the HVX. Also, as overused as it is, slo-mo makes sports look pretty sweet and it's not hard to achieve with a gopro or T2i. Just shoot in 720p and you should be able to cut the speed at least 50% or more with the use of Twixtor. Other than that, I really liked the editing in the intro and throughout the whole video.

I've watched plenty of skateboarding and snowboarding videos. I thought this was great. Slow motion is fine, but there has to be a reason for it. If there's nothing in the shot you want people to really see, don't use it. I don't think this one needed any, personally.

Thanks all for the input. I shot most of the stuff in 720/60. I wanted to slow a lot more down, but with a minute - we needed to get the shots by as quick as possible.

@simonpwood - yeah, that was me in a few of the shots because I had to get close with the wide angle. Rare occasions there was a second angle. Mostly the 2nd angle was the stationary t2i or GoPro.

That was dope, since when did street snowboarding get to this level, that transfer at 20 seconds is f**king massive!
