Please post your films and screening times and we can try to be there to support each other and meet face to face! Let me know what I am missing and I will add it to the top post!:engel017:

I believe Norm Sander's film "Meat Market" is showing. And also, another film I produced "A Date with Destiny" is showing, and of course me and my wife's short "First Love" is showing before NGL :)

That's cool your script snippet is being read before NGL!

Thanks for the add Matt...KERBEROS is by Kely McClung...he's an amazing filmmaker that often posts on the Camera threads...

I can make weekends...I'll try to catch up with as manyt people as I can...I'll also be on the panel Sunday morn so hopefully I'll catch some of you all there too...

Cheers and Best to all,
Stan The Man

Updated! I will be speaking on the panel as well and am excited to meet you in person. See you there! -Matt

Thanks for doing this list! How about re-sorting it chronologically so we have an easy AOF/dxvuser schedule? I unfortunately can't get to town until Tuesday and have an event that evening so will have to miss the panel and 'Stricken'. :(

I'll be at the awards ceremony, so hopefully I can meet you other nominees there. My Best Composition nod is for 'The Grayham Overture', a piece I did for an author who's trying to get his sci-fi fantasy books onto the big screen. He wanted "'Lord of the Rings' meets Metallica" so it was a fun assignment! I've got the whole track autoplaying at http://www.randingraves.com if anybody wants to hear it.

Just a clarification on 'Sameena Likes Me.' It's dvxuser MrSeth aka Ubaid Seth's short film. I was the composer.

Lastly, I want to make a special plug for 'Two Brothers at Galarra', showing on Thursday at 4pm. It's a unique 20-minute docudrama I produced in collaboration with the Wangurri Australian Aboriginal clan while running a multimedia centre in a remote community in 2008. With archival audio and newly recorded song, dance and action, four generations of the clan are involved in this re-enactment of a real event in the 1940s. If you want to see something different that gives insight into another culture, please come check it out.

Hi Matt,
this is Pascal Aka here, I just joined dvx user not too long ago. EVOL plays on Monday July 26th 8:00pm. Action Feature.

I'm just giving this a quick bump and saying, hoorah, I'm flying out today. My other plan for tonight fell through so I'll try to get into Stricken and introduce myself to anyone who looks vaguely dvxuser-like. :)

Congrats to all the dvxusers at AOF! We cleaned up on awards. Congrats to Kely McLung for Best Director for Kerberos, Stan Harrington for Best produced Screenplay, Randin for Best Composition, and Troy ruff, Gary Sconce, James Mierkey, David Fine, and the rest of the Stricken crew for Best Horror Film and Best Visual effects. Also congratulations to Gary Sconce for winning Excellence in Comedy for our cowritten feature script The Park!

Yep, dvxuser made a pretty darn good showing at AOF!!! Next stop, THE WORLD.

Congratulations to everyone, whether an award-winner, runner up, nominee or even if you just made the important step of getting into the fest.

I think I mentioned this already in this thread, but now that it's a "Best Composition," I'll say again that I've got the piece autoplaying on my homepage at http://www.randingraves.com if you want to hear it. I can't say it represents "my style" as it's the only epic orchestral metal piece I've done, but I am very proud of it as perfect for the specific job I was given.

Congrats again to all! Oh - I'll also report that much to my surprise, I just discovered on arrival at home that the framed award survived the baggage handlers' treatment in my luggage 100% intact.

Awesome!

Proud of all of you guys but especially Kely and Stan having been able to work with them some on Kerberos...outstanding!

Too bad I had to miss this festival. Maybe in the future I'll be able to attend and I hope it remains a hotbed of dvxuser talent.

thanks for the update (been out of town on day job business and not able to keep up as well)!

-Martin

A feature film I worked on called "Underground" written and directed by Wilbert Berthaud is also showing at AoF and is up for 4 awards

Hey Homunculus,
The festival is over now! But with a quick check of the awards list, I see...
"Underground" - runner up for best fight choreography - feature
Sarah Walsh from "Underground" - WINNER female action performer of the year
"Underground" - runner up for the Xristos Award, best guerilla film - feature

Not too shabby!
