i don't think production value is the (main) problem here. it's the concept. it's absolute rubbish. or at least, rubbish in its presentation.
 
WHAT!!!!! Ya'll don't know EAGLEMAN!!!!!! Dude these commercials are classics in the Chi-town area, there's a whole series of them. Another group of commercials are the "Smart Beep" commercials (which most of have been banned simply for bad taste) and the Lincoln Insurance commercials which still run now. The big one is "Victor Auto Wreckers". They've run the same commercial probably since the seventies. A guy goes to open his car door and the door falls off and he looks on pitifully. Then goes to Victory to sale or fix up here car. I've actually been there before with a friend who needed to fix his van back in high school.
