Just made a discovery...
Latest update to Resolve adds an Input Device Transform for compressed XAVC material, as opposed to ACES only being available for Sony raw material prior.
Captures of the relevant control panels to change are below:

There is also an Input Device Transform for "Sony Raw". Don't confuse the two.
I'm finding using this (so far) is stellar for accurate reproduction of all colors (especially skintones), a leap ahead of some prior methods to work with SLog2 material.
After enabling, your footage will pickup contrast, but you can recover both highlight and shadow detail to taste via the wheels, identically to the way Red raw material is handled in Resolve.
You can also apply a track node to reduce contrast for ALL of your shots, if you prefer a lower contrast approach. You might be asking why you would do this if you want the low-con look, why wouldn't you just stick with SLog2 and salt to taste? The answer is correct midtone gamma. It will make a difference in skintones.
IN ADDITION, if your SLog2 material is overexposed, the highlights can be recovered with a much greater degree of precision due to the way ACES works internally (it linearizes the XAVC into deep latitude OpenEXR colorspace, and THEN reapplies Rec709 gamma). All of my early, overexposed SLog2 tests are completely "usable" now, without compressed highlights.
Short story, if the traditional Sony looks leave you cold, look into this. It "un-Sony"s the F5/55
