Accessory shoe plate

Anyone tried putting on AND then taking off the included accessory shoe plate?

If so, is there a trick to getting it OFF? Seems pretty tight in there.

what is an accessory shoe plate? did it only come with the lens combo?

yep, it's in the manual too. I think it might have came with the body version too? Just a little silvery thing that slips into the top shoe to allow for a shoe accessory.

If you notice the shoe by default has a female 1/4 20, however with the shoe accessory plate it covers it and allows for more tension between IT and a shoe accessory.

If you try putting it on, please also try taking it off as I am having a heck of a time doing so.

Use your fingernail to life up the front end of the plate (where the arrow is pointing to). It should pop right up.
