accessory mic holder

today i was using my dvx100b, when i noticed that my accessory mic holder has been dipping down every so slightly since i got it a month ago. i immediately removed it from the camera. has anyone else had this happen to them/ no some sort of solution?
 
Maybe the rubber between the holder and the arm that goes to the camera was loose, or the screws might have been loose... The rubber inside the mic tunnel can be loose if your mic is a little smaller in diameter. What kind of mic are you using?
