Hey Everyone,

My name is David Fisk, and I'm the sales manager at K-Tek. We've been making boom poles and other microphone accessories for 15 years, but we've just come out with a new accessory product for DSLR cams that you folks might dig. You can check it out at www.norbertusa.com. Let me know what you think.

Hi, i really in love the Norbert filmaker kit concept, just one question: The arms can be rotated to back or side?

Cheers

No offense Dave, but the frames are a little pricey for something I make in 30 minutes.
That said, looks like a quality item.

Not to be argumentative, but Norbert is not something you can make in 30 minutes on your own. It's finely machined anodized aluminum with lots of shoe mounts and female threads so you can put all kinds of things on it. Not to mention all the accessories we have for it, such as the locking hand grips, shock mountable t-bars, and shoe plates. K-Tek has been making extremely high quality microphone accessory products such as boom poles, zeppelins, shockmounts, and other things for 15 years. We have taken our knowledge of and expertise and applied it to a DSLR accessory that can really help out the DSLR community. I would encourage you to get some hands on time with Norbert and see for yourself.

The K-OSE looks like just what I need. I'm hoping it's Aluminum?

Sure is. All of the camera accessories are anodized aluminum, save for the actual base part that goes into the shoe. That is made from a highly durable plastic material. I purposefully tried to break it, and couldn't, so you shouldn't have a problem with that. It's the same base that we've been using on our camera mountable microphone shock mounts for several years, if you've ever used one of those.

Like I said...No Offense intended, just straight talk!
I do not have the frame because I make my own and yours is overpriced as is much DSLR equipment.
No issues with the quality, just the price.

I´m talking about the Handles, sometime ago i see a picture of the Norbert with a different handle (The dual handle kit KN2276) but with a better position, just my thought! and for almost 500$ for the DSLR Kit is a little pricey, but not the quality, look great.

Thanks.
