'Accepted Annoyance' Trailer

This is a teaser for one of the first films I've shot on a DVX. This was put together to show our professor what we had done with the project; as some scenes still need to be shot (weather complications). I know as a trailer it's not great - and that's why. The script is an adaptation of a short story called "There's a Man in the Habit of Hitting Me in the Head with an Umbrella" It's 3-5 min and rather dreamlike.

I am gonna do some work in magic bullet - the story we have rights to produce - the music is a grab - it's not for official anything. The piece will be scored later. I was hoping for critiques on composition, mood, movement, anything really. Thank in advance!

After 15 seconds I wanted to deck that dude w/ the umbrella. I like the part near the end where you showed different scenes. Maybe if there was a little more of that so I could get a better idea of what the story is about.

Unbrella guy looks like David Duchovny during an allergic reaction. I didnt want to hit him I wanted to kill him. Please dont do that again.

Well, it looks good. :) I'm intrigued -- hope it's more Kids in the Hall/Monty Python than something more esoteric.

Tom, I was just kididng. That was not a bad piece, just annoying, which I guess means it lived up to its title. Song was pretty good, I guess I just didnt get it. Keep at it cuz it looked good.

Woah! I remember a "There's a Man in the Habit of Hitting Me in the Head with an Umbrella" short film at my high school. At first I thought you might have been those dudes, but I guess you just happen to have based it off the same short story.

Yeah - it was written by a student here at OU who worked out a contract with the Author via mail to adapt and produce it. The song was a last minute addition - it will have a score that I sort of hope will convey a whimsical, almost Cirque du Soleil feel. And yeah- there's a good deal of sight gags in the 'chase scene.' I'm really looking forward to shooting that this weekend.
