AC Power Replacement for F35's AC-550

Not the right cable end to power F23/F35 cameras. The power connector on those was lemo. Do you already have 4pin XLR male to female LEMO connector adapter cable? 60 watts total power should work for those cameras especially if you are recording to a small external recorder.

Thanks I didn't even think about that and no I don't own an XLR male to Femail LEMO adapter cable but maybe I should get one then. Do you use a Sony AC-550 with your setup or do you just run off of external batteries?

We were dealers for the cameras. Customers would usually either go with on board V mount or snap on batteries via an adapter plate that has the right power connector for hand held work, or they would use larger power supplies from Anton Bauer or big block batteries since the cameras have a strong draw especially when being used with the SRW-1 tape deck that was attached. Also, since the camera has 24v power outputs for legacy film company accessories those batteries and power supplies provided dual power, 12 and 24 volt. We are not currently working with or providing these cameras so no current set up to refer to.

Hi Kassim,

If your looking for a power supply I would recommend a Tandem 150 along with an Anton Bauer SC-Alta QRC plate (it has an 8 pin Lemo specifically for the F35.)
Both items are quite small & robust, and provide a portable solution for powering your F35 with batteries or AC.
The camera itself draws about 50-60 watts alone, so it's good to have a little more overhead when powering additional accessories.

While I was at AbelCine, I worked with Frezzi to develop the Mother of All Power Supplies, the Universal Jukebox Power Supply. It is a monster, and it can power several cameras in 12v & 24v. It also includes the same 8-pin Lemo the F35 uses for battery power. We built this thing to run entire 3D rigs if one wanted -- up to 600w of available power! It's certainly the last power supply you would ever need to buy.

Come, behold the splendor of the mighty Juicebox:

I have one of the above power supplies (The Frezzi) and can confirm its status as the be-all and end-all of power supplies!
