Need opinions on the reality of the physical abuse... What do you guys think?

Sorry, but I found it very unnatural. The girl's flailing arms as he picks her up look especially unnatural. I also think the racial dymanic is very... noticeable, shall we say. I can often be a politically correct schmoe, but you might leave a bad taste in the mouths of some of your audience.

I'm thinking the "action" should be quick, direct, and explosive as opposed to a struggle. If a struggle is better for you, though, have the abuser constrain the victims arms. Seems more natural to me. Good luck.
 
I agree with Dustino. Most of it looks really fake, too staged. This kind of thing is hard to do without the guy actually taking somewhat of a beating for realism.
