About uprezzing.

The project I'm working on right now was shot on a DVX100 in 24pA with the letterboxing on, and the final project is going to be further letterboxed to 2.35:1. So needless to say, anamorphic capability and uprezzing is going to be a must. I read the post about exporting the files as TIFF frames and using the software Barry mentioned (I can't remember the name at the moment), and it sounds much better than the current method I'm using, which is enlarging the video to 133%. I've tested this method out on a DVD and playing it back on a standard TV, and it looks fine, but I haven't tried it on a widescreen TV yet and I have some reservations about the image quality. So my question is...does the export as TIFF/uprez/import as TIFF lose more, less, or equal quality as a 33% blowup? I'm pretty sure the uprez is going to result in less of a quality drop, but I wanted to make sure.

BTW, I've made a few posts here already, so I'm a bit late with it, but it bears mentioning: This really is the best forum I've seen anywhere, whether based on the DVX or on DV editing and shooting in general. Whatever I'm looking for, I always seem to find the answer for it here; also, the separate sections for DV cinematography, lighting, directing, screenwriting, and editing are invaluable.
